Set the hook.

Hi there, my name is Jeremy Hancock and I'm the author of Texas bugger, a fly fishing blog dedicated to the art and science of fishing with woolly buggers. I've been an avid fly fisherman for over 15 years and I'm passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others.

Over the years, I've honed my skills and developed a particular interest in fishing with woolly buggers. There's just something about these versatile flies that I find fascinating - they can imitate a variety of prey and they work in a variety of fishing conditions.

On Texas bugger, I’ll write about everything related to fishing with woolly buggers in Central Texas and beyond. From tying tips and techniques to gear and gear reviews, I aim to provide comprehensive information and advice to help you improve your fishing experience. Whether you're an experienced fisherman or just starting out, I believe there's something here for everyone.

When I'm not fishing or writing, I'm leading and coaching software development teams. When I am not working, you can find be volunteering with Texas Parks and Wildlife Angler Education program where I am an Area Chief. I live in Austin, Texas with my dog Smoke. I love the outdoors and I spend as much time as I can exploring new water.

Thank you for visiting Texas bugger. I hope you enjoy my writing and find it useful. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me at jeremy.hancock@texasbugger.com.
